Lattice Video Bridging FPGA Overview

BeiLuo supplies genuine Lattice video bridging and vision FPGAs, the CrossLink-NX and CrossLink families purpose-built for embedded vision, image processing and display interfaces. CrossLink-NX is built on the Lattice Nexus platform with 28 nm FD-SOI technology and offers up to 40K logic cells together with hardened MIPI D-PHY and PCIe Gen2 blocks, which let a designer build multiple camera inputs, image pipelines and display outputs without external PHY components. The original CrossLink family delivers a compact, low-power bridge for mobile image sensors and displays, with hardened MIPI D-PHY in packages as small as a few millimetres. Because the MIPI D-PHY is hardened, the FPGA meets the tight timing of camera and display links reliably while staying programmable, so a design can be updated in the field and support new sensors or formats without a new chip. These devices are the natural choice for smart cameras, machine-vision modules, AR and VR headsets, medical imaging and automotive sensing, where low latency, low power and a small footprint all matter. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you budget MIPI bandwidth, plan the image pipeline and verify the board layout for high-speed differential pairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I read the Lattice video FPGA table?

Use Series to see CrossLink-NX or CrossLink, then Logic Cells for the image-pipeline budget and Hardened IP for the MIPI and PCIe blocks. Package and Temperature decide the physical fit.

Bandwidth budgeting starts from the Hardened IP column.

CrossLink-NX or CrossLink for my vision design?

Choose CrossLink-NX for higher density, lower power from FD-SOI, more MIPI lanes and hardened PCIe, which suits smart cameras and higher-resolution pipelines. Choose CrossLink for simple, ultra-compact mobile sensor and display bridging.

The decision is density, interfaces and power.

How do I plan a MIPI camera interface?

Start from the sensor lane count and data rate, confirm the hardened D-PHY supports it, budget the pipeline logic and memory, and keep the differential pairs short and impedance-controlled. Our application note covers the full flow.
