Lattice iCE40 Ultra-Low Power FPGA Distributor | UltraPlus
Genuine Lattice iCE40 UltraPlus and HX ultra-low power FPGAs for always-on sensing, mobile and wearable designs with instant-on configuration.
Lattice iCE40 Ultra-Low Power FPGA Overview
BeiLuo supplies genuine Lattice iCE40 ultra-low power FPGAs, the family that defined always-on programmable logic for battery-powered and space-constrained products. The iCE40 UltraPlus devices add up to 5K logic cells, 1 Mb of SPRAM, 120 Kb of block RAM and eight DSP multipliers to the iCE40 architecture, delivering the compute and buffering needed for sensor fusion, gesture and voice pre-processing, and display control at a fraction of the power of a general purpose FPGA. The iCE40 HX devices provide a larger fabric for bridging and simple control, while the LP range addresses the most power-critical designs. Because iCE40 FPGAs configure instantly from on-chip non-volatile memory or external flash and can hold state in standby, they fit always-on functions that must wake instantly and drain almost nothing from the battery. The fabric is small and the toolchain is straightforward, which shortens development and keeps cost low for high-volume consumer and mobile products. iCE40 is also supported by open-source synthesis flows, which is valuable for research and for teams that want tool independence. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you estimate logic and memory use, plan the power modes and verify the configuration and I/O.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I read the Lattice iCE40 FPGA table?
Use Series to see whether the device is UltraPlus or HX, then Logic Cells and Block RAM for the fabric budget and DSP for multiply-accumulate functions. Package and Temperature set the physical fit.
UltraPlus adds SPRAM and DSP for always-on processing.
When is an iCE40 FPGA the right choice?
Choose iCE40 when the design must run from a small battery, wake instantly and add a little programmable logic to sense, buffer or bridge without a large power budget. For more logic or hardened high-speed interfaces, step up to ECP5 or Certus-NX.
The decision is power and size first.
How do I plan power for an always-on iCE40 design?
Separate the always-on function from the burst function, use the low-power standby mode, and size the configuration scheme for instant wake. Our application note walks through the power modes and measurement.
Ask us to review your operating modes.
Can I use an open-source toolchain with iCE40?
Yes. The iCE40 families are supported by open-source synthesis and place-and-route flows, which is useful for research and for teams that want tool independence. Lattice also provides its own toolchain for production.
We can advise on both flows.
